Welcome

The town of Chesterfield, North East Derbyshire's largest town, lies approximately 14 miles south of Sheffield and 12 miles north west of Mansfield. Contained mainly by the Green Belt and synonymous with the crooked spire, in the 19th Century it developed rapidly into an industrial centre, especially with the coming of the railway. Half a mile from the Town Centre on the way to Chatsworth House lies Chatsworth Road, the gateway to the Peak District.

The Chatsworth Road Festival celebrates life on and around this thriving stretch of road. A community busy with everyday life and activity which never takes time out to reflect on where it is and where it’s going.
